Your data, your choice
Delete your WaveTalk account
You can delete your WaveTalk account and associated personal data at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Open WaveTalk → Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account, then confirm. Your account is scheduled for deletion immediately.
Request deletion by email
If you can't access the app, email privacy@wavetalk.co.tz from the phone number or address on your account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. We may ask you to verify ownership of the account before we proceed.
What gets deleted
- Your profile (name, phone number, photo and status)
- Your contacts and chat list on our servers
- Your messages and media stored for delivery
- Your mini-app installs, preferences and device registrations
What we keep, and for how long
A limited amount of data is retained only where the law requires it or to protect against fraud and abuse:

Once retention obligations end, this data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised. For full detail see our Privacy Policy.
How long does it take?
Your account becomes inaccessible immediately. Personal data is removed from active systems within 30 days, and from backups within the normal backup cycle.
